MMD ADVOKATI SUCCESSFULLY CLOSES MAJOR REAL ESTATE DEAL

We are pleased to announce the successful closing of a major M&A transaction in the real estate sector.

In this transaction, MMD Advokati acted on the sell-side, advising Hungarian KESZ Holding ZRt. on the sale of its Serbian subsidiary, Kesz Properties d.o.o., to the local company Nova Vizantija d.o.o.

KESZ Holding ZRt. is the central holding company of the KESZ Group, a recognized leader in the real estate industry across the SEE region. Its Serbian subsidiary owned a highly valuable real estate project and development-ready land in the heart of Belgrade. Once completed, the project is expected to become one of the most exclusive residential and commercial developments in the Serbian capital.

In addition to the standard legal aspects typical for M&A transactions, further complicated by real estate-specific considerations, the deal involved complex financial structuring, including the resolution of multiple loans and financial arrangements. The transaction required close coordination with and active involvement of banks from both Serbia and Hungary.
